Reginald Coleman was born in Monroe la., then moved to Orangeburg, SC at the age of 3. Most of Reggie’s artist ability was developed in high school with the help of his two art teachers, Alvin and Bretta Staley. He studied art at Newberry College in Newberry, SC. There with the help of Bruce Neilsmith, he was able to attend a semester in Cortona, Italy, through the University of Georgia. In Italy, he learned more about color and composition through his instructors and classmates. Reggie further developed as an artist after college while living and working in Baton Rouge, La. He then moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL with his wife Leslie. While working, he continued his art and ventured into other forms for art.
